DAISY, 6-month-old spayed female Beagle mix
One of the smartest hound dogs we’ve ever met, this one arrived at about four months old – perfectly housebroken. She’s very well behaved, likes other dogs and loves people including children and babies. She’s still learning the difference between her stuff and ours, but she’s never even tried to escape. She should top out at about 45 pounds.

GOOD NEWS! Daisy has found her life's calling! She is attending J & K Canine Academy where she will be training for a career in K-9 Bed Bug Detection.

DUKE, year-old Boxer mix, neutered male
Confiscated from a horrible place in north Florida, Duke is one of the sweetest, most lovable dogs we’ve ever met. He’s somewhat shy but very welcoming once he decides you won’t hurt him.
He’s much more handsome than his photos show. He has very expressive ears like a boxer, a ridge down his back like a Rhodesian and probably a little pit bull, plus a little bit of Shar-Pei or chow. He’s about a year old, so he’s probably at his top weight of 60 pounds now.

HANNAH, approx. 1 year-old female
I'm a sweet girl about a year old found on the streets of Hillsborough County. I've been spayed, given all my shots, tested heartworm negative and even gotten a microchip so I'm ready for an extra-special home.
I love to play with all kinds of dogs and I give kisses to everyone I meet. I have a beautiful soft red coat and a super-cool curly Shar-Pei tail. I follow my foster mom around all day long, but I like to sleep next to my foster dad's side of the bed.
I haven't had a chance to learn basic commands yet, like sit and come or stay, but I'm really, really smart. I figured out the doggie door the first time my friend Duke went through it and I'm pretty close to housebroken even though my foster mom doesn't think I'd ever been in a house before because I tried to play with a doggie in the mirror. She said to tell you I haven't eaten a single shoe since I got here either.
My foster mom said she'll teach me to walk on a leash - I think I'll like that a lot. She wanted to change my name to Georgia - as in Curious George - but my dad said that was silly. I do like exploring new places though and I'm really looking forward to finding my furever family.

RUSTY, 7-month-old Cattle Dog mix, neutered male
The ultimate Heinz 57! He was rescued as a Shar-Pei mix, but he has a very handsome cattle dog tail, spectacular German Shepherd ears and a classic golden retriever coat. He’s looking for a home with lots of people and pets to play with. He’s one of the best-natured dogs we know, even when his older brothers pick on him. He’s a very healthy 40 pounds at about six months old, so he’ll grow up to be a big boy.
